Below, you will find an update on our activities over the past few months.

The Bizenen District, located to the south-east of Muttenz railway station, has been a focus of Wirtschaftsförderung Muttenz for some time. An analysis conducted last autumn highlighted the district’s significant development potential. At a Round Table held in the district, the findings were explored in greater depth together with property owners and local business representatives. We would like to thank Raurica Wald AG for hosting the event.
The results have since been consolidated into three target visions – Land Use, Site Development, and Mobility & Infrastructure – and submitted to the Municipal Council. Further promising projects are planned for the coming year and beyond to support the continued development of the district.

The second edition of the Mini Careers Fair, organised in collaboration with Sekundarschule Muttenz and KMU Verein Muttenz, was once again met with a very positive response. The evening event, “Career Paths – Perspectives and Diversity”, attracted more than twice as many guests as the previous year.
Rather than focusing solely on providing information, the event centred on the personal experiences and career journeys of the panel guests. A special thank you goes to everyone who contributed to making the evening so personal and engaging. The aperitif following the event was generously sponsored by alltech Installationen AG.

The Wirtschaftsförderung Muttenz website serves not only as an information platform, but also as a showcase for Muttenz as a business and industrial location. For this reason, a comprehensive redesign, including the development of a well-structured backend, was essential.
The new website now provides a clear overview in both German and English, including information on completed and ongoing projects, how to contact us, Muttenz as a business location, and our governing bodies.

Am 23.09. öffnete die Woertz AG ihre Türen am Standort Muttenz. Eine spannende Unternehmensführung durch die verschiedenen Bereiche offenbarte die beeindruckende Fertigungstiefe vor Ort. Anschliessend folgten Keynotes sowie ein Apéro im obersten Stock des Gebäudes, der Zeit für Gespräche und Networking förderte. Vielen Dank an die Teilnehmenden für das rege Interesse am Event und an die Woertz AG für die Zusammenarbeit und den Apéro. Mehr dazu und Impressionen finden Sie auch HIER.

Following Dr Alain Bai’s departure from the Muttenz Municipal Council, the composition of the WiFöM Executive Board has also changed. Dr Alain Bai will now represent KMU Verein Muttenz on the WiFöM Executive Board, while Pascal Liederer, the new Municipal Councillor responsible for Finance, will take over his previous role.
A warm welcome to the Executive Board. We look forward to working together.

Next year’s New Year’s Reception will take place on Thursday, 28 January 2027. An official invitation with further information will be sent out in the coming weeks.
