Dear members of the WiFöM network
Below, we provide an update on the latest developments and projects of Wirtschaftsförderung Muttenz.
Mini Careers Fair
The Mini Careers Fair, followed by an evening networking event, was successfully held at the end of June. During the afternoon, local businesses from Muttenz, coordinated by the KMU Muttenz Association, set up information booths at the secondary school to give Year 8 students an insight into the wide range of apprenticeship and career opportunities available in Muttenz.
Mini Careers Fair Evening Event: “Career Paths – Perspectives and Opportunities”
In the evening, parents, guardians and teachers were invited to gain insights into three inspiring career journeys. At the evening event, “Career Paths – Perspectives and Opportunities”, moderated by our President, Dr Felix Hanisch, Dr Marcus Wyss, Jon Zimmerli and Dominique Tellenbach shared their professional journeys. They spoke about the flexibility of the Swiss education system, as well as the decisions and unexpected turns that ultimately led them to their current careers.
Our sincere thanks go to all participants, as well as to the sponsors of the networking apéro, alltech Installationen AG and Bayer CropScience AG.
Bizenen Area Analysis
The Bizenen Area Analysis has been completed and is now available. Initial discussions with stakeholders have already taken place, and in the coming weeks a survey will be sent to business property owners and tenants located within the area to assess its current status and future development potential.
Project: “Welcome in Muttenz”
The next project, “Welcome in Muttenz”, is already in the planning stage.
